Shrek Tour

Based on the 2001 DreamWorks film of the same name, Shrek was adapted for stage on Broadway in 2009. Following a successful run in the West End in 2011, the show will embark on a UK-wide tour in summer 2014.

Shrek, our unlikely hero, and his loyal steed Donkey set off on a quest to rescue the beautiful (if slightly temperamental) Princess Fiona from her tower, where she is guarded by a fire breathing love-sick dragon. Directors Jason Moore and Rob Ashford bring these well loved characters to life in a hilarious and spectacular production. The world of fairytales is turned upside down in an all singing, all dancing and irresistible mix of adventure, laughter and romance.

The 2011-12 West End production was nominated for several Olivier-awards including Best New Musical and Best Actor in a Musical, and won the award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical. Next year’s tour will travel across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, touring until early 2016.
